Healthy Foods For Your Baby

Most doctors say that a baby must not start eating solid food until he/she turns about 6 months old. There are certain food items which a baby must be given in the initial months of eating so as to ensure that he/she consumes the right amount of nutrients. In these initial few months, the baby takes the maximum growth and hence parents must ensure that they give the healthiest foods to the growing little one.

Some foods which must be included in the diet of a baby are meat, avocados, broccoli, lentils, green leafy vegetables, squash, prunes, garbanzo beans, mandarin oranges and blueberries. It is said and proved that breast milk is the most perfect food for any baby so this is one part of the diet which must definitely not be missed. On the other hand, parents must try and avoid giving their babies low fat foods, salty foods, fizzy drinks, tea of coffee, unnecessary sugar and gravy and sauces. Parents must also slowly and steadily change and modify the diet of the baby as he/she grows from a 4 to 6 month old to a 2 to 3 year old.
